DBE Annual Renewal Process

DBE firms are required to renew their certification each year. A renewal application must be completed in CDOT’s online application portal by the anniversary date of the firm’s certification. Firms that do not complete a renewal application by their anniversary date will have their certification revoked and will be given 15 calendar days to appeal this decision with CDOT. If no appeal is submitted, the firm will be removed from the Colorado UCP DBE Directory and must wait 12 months before reapplying for certification with CDOT.

To renew your DBE certification with CDOT, please visit our online portal at: https://cdot.dbesystem.com/ and select “Apply for Certification”. Then either log in with your existing credentials or select lookup account to reset your current password.

Note: Do NOT select “Create Account”. If you are renewing a current certification, you already exist in our system and will need to look up your information if you do not know your login credentials. You should select either “Login” or “Lookup Account”.

Changes in Ownership or Management

DBE firms must notify CDOT in writing within 30 days of any change in the firm’s legal structure, ownership, or management. CDOT will review the notification and inform the firm of documentation that it will need to submit. In some instances, a new DBE application may be required.
