Approved OJT Programs

The Standard Training Program

To participate in the Standard Training Program, the contractor must submit a training plan for approval by CDOT/FHWA or USDOL.

Contractors can use this program to fulfill OJT obligations on CDOT and non-CDOT (approvals required) projects. The contractor may use subcontractors that are in an approved program to help with OJT participation. Under the Standard Training Program, the reimbursement rate for hours worked on the CDOT project is $2.00 per hour.

U.S. DOL-BAT Approved Training Program or Recognized State Apprenticeship Agency

Contractors may receive credit for hours that trainees work on CDOT and non-CDOT projects (approvals required), but will only be reimbursed for CDOT project work at the rate of $2.00 per hour. Training may be provided only by USDOL approved sponsors, such as industry organizations or unions.

Developing Your Own OJT Program

Contractors may write their own program and submit for approvals. The reimbursement rate for hours worked is $2.00 per hour.
