How CDOT's Mentor-Protege Program Works

 Program Logistics

Teams self-pair to create a partnership lasting 1-2 calendar years. To apply, Teams evaluate the Protégé's business needs, identify mutually beneficial goals, and create a plan to make progress against them, with the ultimate goal of building the Protégé's capacity to compete on CDOT contracts.

If selected, Teams meet and collaborate throughout the year as they navigate the program as a cohort. They meet regularly with the Team Liaison to report on milestones, obstacles, and changes.

Program Benefits

For CDOT, the ESB Mentor-Protégé program is an investment in the pipeline of transportation consultants and contractors to ensure a sustainable network of high-quality private sector project delivery partners.

For participating firms, there are a variety of benefits that range from relationship development and networking opportunities to proposal scoring incentives and reimbursement stipends.
