Design-Bid-Build Construction Project Advertisements

*Seven new projects advertised May 23, 2019

CDOT posts new advertisements on a bi-weekly schedule. Our next advertisement date is June 6, 2019. A schedule of future planned advertisement dates is available by clicking on this link - Bid Advertisement Calendar.
Electronic plans and specifications are available to registered contractors at B2G. Please be sure to do an account lookup if you are new to the system as many vendors have been entered by CDOT into the system. This will allow you to reset the password if the proper contacts were entered. Upon registration, you can find the plans and specifications or the plan holders list for each project under the "View" menu by selecting "My Bid Solicitations". 
Prime contractors are directed to our Rules Governing Construction Bidding for CDOT Projects which details the requirements of Prequalification in Section 2
All Design-Bid-Build proposals are processed electronically via Bid Express.  Primes must obtain a Digital ID for an agent identified in your prequalification registration.

MP R200-255 (22931) ~ This project consist of the removal and installation pavement markings along various highways within Region 2 boundaries. The work consist of, but no limited too removal of existing pavement markings, and install new.  The project engineer is Matt Jagow 719-546-5751.


FBR 0063-057 (22576) ~ This project is located in Eagle county.  Work includes the removal of existing structurally deficient bridge F-09-K over Castle Creek and replacing it with a new 20-ft x 10-ft Precast Concrete Box Culvert, Structure F-09-KA. Improvements include a shoo-fly detour, grading, drainage, paving, guardrail, retaining walls A & B, traffic control, signing, and striping. The project engineer is Peter Lombardi 970-328-9962

 A mandatory pre-bid meeting will held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 beginning at 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the CDOT Region 3 Gympum Conference Room , 10519 US-6, Gypsum, CO 81637.

STR R200-257 (23012) ~ This project is located in Region 2 in Huerfano and Otero County. The project includes the installation of eight Road Closure Gates in various highways. The project engineer is Joe Deheart 719-546-5439.

MP R200-255 (22931) ~ This project consist of the removal and installation pavement markings along various highways within Region 2 boundaries. The work consist of, but no limited too removal of existing pavement markings, and install new.  The project engineer is Matt Jagow 719-546-5751.

*NHPP 006A-068 (22553) ~ The project will consist of removing and replacing all existing tunnel lighting for tunnels 1-3, 5, and 6 along US 6 between highway 58 & 93 and I-70 near Idaho Springs.  Work will also include minor electrical work at the veteran’s memorial tunnels.  This project is located in Region 1 in Clear Creek and Jefferson counties.  The project engineer is Jeff Tatkendhorst 303-278-2053.


*NHPP 0703-442 (21785) ~ The project is located on I-70 in Clear Creek County in Region 1.  The project begins at MP 225.25 and extends for .031 miles to MP 225.56. Work includes replacement of sound wall along with ramp safety and drainage improvements.  The project engineer is Neil Ogden at 720-497-6928.


*STR 141A-040 (20680) ~This bridge rehabilitation project is part of the RAMP Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program. The project is located within LaPlata and Archuleta counties, and is located along State Highway numbers 151, along with U.S. Highway Numbers 160 and 550.  The work includes: removing and replacing existing asphalt on, removing delaminated deck concrete and patching removed areas with deck concrete, installing waterproofing membrane, planning concrete and sealing bare concrete deck with polyester concrete overlay on 2 bridges.  Removing and replacing bridge expansion devices.  The project engineer is Jason Fullerton 970-385-8370 in Region 5.


*NHPP 160A-030 (20693) ~ This project is located in Archuleta, Mineral, and Montezuma counties in Region 5.  Project will involve lining of 3 culverts and concrete repair on a 4th culvert. The culverts that are to be lined will involve the installation of skids to support the liner within the existing pipe. Bulkheads will be installed at both ends to contain the annular space grout. The project engineer is Jason Fullerton 970-385-8370. 


*NHPP 030A-036 (22528) ~ This project is located in Region 1 in Arapahoe and Denver counties.  SH 30 & Tower Road Improvements Project: Add a second lane to westbound SH 30 between the Tower Road and Telluride Street intersections. This will include paving over the grassy median and adding pavement to the westbound direction, re-striping, and the removal and installation of signage in the westbound direction.  This will also include re-striping in the eastbound direction to add a dedicated left turn lane. The project engineer is Ben Kiene 303-365-7307.


*CR 500-205 (22799) ~ This project is located in Region 5 in Achuleta, Conejos, Costilla, Rio Grande, and Saguache counties.  This project is intended to improve, upgrade and replace the old standard guardrail end treatments throughout Region 5 of CDOT to comply with the MASH requirements without any roadway modifications.  Related work includes various guardrail transition segments to increase height of guardrail to tie into new 31" end treatments. In addition, all less-than-25"-high guardrails found on these 14 sites will be replaced. The project engineer is Jason Fullerton 970-385-8370.


*FSA 0142-067 (21868) ~ This project it located in Weld county region 4.  This project includes center line rumble strips and modified epoxy paint on SH 14 MP 153.89 TO 215.8.3 The project engineer is Jeff Vickers 970-521-9705.
