2 — Roles & Responsibilities
2.1 — Overview
Defining program and project delivery Roles and Responsibilities provides alignment, expectations, and transparency to those executing the work throughout the project lifecycle. Clearly outlined Roles and Responsibilities enable effective communication between all CDOT groups and help to drive programming and funding processes from the Transportation Commission, through headquarters, and out to the regions where projects are delivered.
The CDOT PMO Responsible-Accountable-Consulted-Informed (RACI) matrix is an essential responsibility assignment chart that maps out crucial tasks and key decisions related to the programming of CDOT construction projects; the RACI matrix assigns entities within CDOT to deliver, guide, and approve these tasks.
