I-70B Project Restarts Next Week

February 3, 2011 - Northwestern Colorado/CDOT Region 3 - GRAND JUNCTION – Work on the I-70B Reconstruction Project will be restarting next Wednesday, February 9, 2011. Construction began on the project last July and work was suspended for the winter holiday shopping season on November 19, 2010.

Girder Installation at Arapahoe Road and Parker Road Postponed Until Wednesday

February 7, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - ARAPAHOE COUNTY – Due to next round of snow that will begin this evening, the girder installation scheduled to take place tonight, February 7th, at Arapahoe Road and Parker Road has been postponed until Wednesday, February 9th, weather permitting. If weather postpones the work on Wednesday, crews will try to complete the work on Thursday, February 10th.

Gov Hickenlooper announces grants to improve airport infrastructure in Colorado

February 9, 2011 - Statewide Transportation Plan - DENVER — Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011 — Gov. John Hickenlooper announced today he approved distribution of $11.5 million in state aviation fuel tax revenues through 46 grants to Colorado airports under the Aviation Discretionary Grant program administered by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) Division of Aeronautics.

I-70 Traffic Stops Tuesday & Thursday

February 11, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will be closing lanes and stopping traffic on Interstate 70 near Georgetown and Idaho Springs next week as part of a rockfall mitigation project, weather permitting.

Girder Installation Continues Next Week on Arapahoe Road and Parker Road

February 11, 2011 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - ARAPAHOE COUNTY – Girder installation for the new Parker Road bridge over Arapahoe Road began last night, February 10th. Crews were unable to complete the first round of girder installation in one night so the work will continue on Sunday, February 13th, and Monday, February 14th. The work will require full closures of Arapahoe Road at Parker Road each night from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Rockslide on US 50

February 14, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - FREMONT COUNTY – A rockslide has closed U.S. 50, one mile west of Cotopaxi.

Rockfall Mitigation Work on I-70 Near Idaho Springs Canceled for Tomorrow

February 16, 2011 - Central Eastern Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - CLEAR CREEK COUNTY – Due to the potential for high winds and snow, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has canceled the rockfall mitigation work scheduled for tomorrow, February 17th, on I-70 near Idaho Springs. No work will take place on I-70 at Georgetown Hill either.

Maintenance Work to Cause Delays on Northbound I-25 on Friday

February 16, 2011 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Southeastern Colorado/CDOT Region 2 - COLORADO SPRINGS – On Friday, February 18th, weather permitting, the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) will conduct some maintenance work on northbound I-25 between Nevada Avenue and Academy Boulevard. The work will require a single right lane closure from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
