Several Upcoming Traffic Impacts for I-25 Ilex Project February 2-8

PUEBLO —The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and contractor Flatiron Constructors, Inc. will have several restrictions and closures February 2 to February 8 necessary for construction activities.

Daytime Lane Restrictions

I-25 between Abriendo Avenue & City Center Drive there will be northbound lane closures. Please use caution and pay attention to signage.

  • February 2 2 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • February 3 2 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • February 5 2 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • February 6 2 a.m. to 2 p.m.

  • February 7 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Nighttime Lane Restrictions

I-25 between Abriendo Avenue & City Center Drive there will be northbound and southbound lane closures. Please use caution and pay attention to signage.

  • February 5 7 p.m. to 2 a.m.

  • February 6 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

  • February 7 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

  • February 8 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Full Closures

Northbound I-25 between D Street & City Center Drive there will be a full closure February 6 from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. to accommodate a sign removal.

Northbound I-25 City Center Drive/Exit 98A off-ramp will close at 5:00 p.m., February 8 for approximately 3 months. Please follow detour signs. The northbound I-25 off-ramp at D Street/Exit 98A reopens Tuesday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. as an alternative route.

PROJECT INFORMATION: The I-25 Ilex Street to City Center Drive project is the first project of the New Pueblo Freeway: the reconstruction of I-25 between City Center Drive (1st Street) and Ilex Street through downtown Pueblo. Construction includes upgrading several bridges south of downtown. The project began in July 2015, and is scheduled to be complete by spring 2019.
