Nice Comments about CDOT's Snowplowing Efforts

Megan of Centennial, CO, wrote to CDOT's Public Relations Office to say that she appreciated the work CDOT employees did following the heavy storm that blanketed the Denver metro area Dec. 21 and 22.

Megan had lived in Hawaii her entire life until moving to Colorado a few months ago, and she said she is enjoying the change of seasons and snow. Her husband took her to an empty parking lot to 'teach me how to maneuver a vehicle properly in inclement conditions' after an earlier snow in the Denver area this fall.

This time, she had to get out in the storm at 4:30 a.m. to take her husband to work. "I was absolutely astonished to see dozens of snow plows and bundled up workers. I am writing to thank the employees of the Colorado Department of Transportation," she said. "I can't think of too many other professions that involve such an intense effort, with such an evident sense of selflessness. The men and women who work so diligently and tirelessly to ensure that the commute is a safe one for the rest of us are definitely unsung heroes."
