Great Road Conditions on U.S. 285

Aileen Engel of Sun City Center, FL, and her family were in Colorado for spring break.  They needed to travel from Poncha Springs into Denver on Saturday, March 23, to get a flight back to Florida from Denver International Airport.  As luck would have it, a major winter storm was underway in the mountains and at lower elevations along the Front Range.

Mrs. Engel wrote, "We were pleasantly surprised to find the roads clear and nearly dry from Kenosha Pass to Morrison.  Kudos to the crews who worked hard to clear the roads and make it possible for us to make our flight back to Florida."

Specifically, these kudos go to the following Aurora Maintenance Section 5, Region 1, patrols:

Patrol 32 at Fairplay - Kenneth Gabel (TM-II); Chad Rutter; Richard Twaddell

Patrol 28 at Bailey - Mat Flores (TM-II); Kyle Brown; Joel White; Bryan Harpin

Patrol 27 at Morrison - Peter Igel (TM-II); Gregory Fox; Jeffrey Amiot; Ron Baughman; Brad Weaver

Congratulations to everyone involved!
