Scared Mom Appreciates CDOT Help

During the first of the recent Front Range's snow events, which occurred on Thursday, Feb. 21, Sara McMurry of Brighton was driving along I-76 when she was involved in an accident and ended up in the ditch at around 7 a.m.  She had her children ages 4 and 1 in the vehicle with her.  She wrote, "I was scared and we were stuck.  A CDOT employee stopped and made sure we were okay.  He calmed me down and then proceeded to help me get out of the ditch and drive my truck to safety."

McMurry said that she was so upset and scared that she didn't get the employee's name, but she added, "If you know who I'm talking about, please thank him from the bottom of my heart.  If it wasn't for him, I do not know what I would have done."

A bit a detective work by Denver Maintenance Section 8 revealed that the Good Samaritan in this incident was Corey Cullen, TM-II for Patrol 19 at Commerce City.
