CDOT Help Along I-25 Appreciated

In mid-March, Roger Evans of Thermopolis, WY, called the Colorado Springs Maintenance Area office of Pueblo Maintenance Section 4, Region 2, to report that when he had a mishap with his truck along I-25 at Exit 125, south of Fountain, CDOT employees came to the rescue.

"My wheel and rim sheared off my truck," he reported in his voice mail.  "Steve Ashton (TM-II, Patrol 7 at Colorado Springs) is of the most helpful and considerate guys I've met along the highway."  He said Ashton help him get his rig back to a campground area, where they would be safe.  Evans reported that "Steve and his guys (TM-Is A.J. Montelongo and Jeff "M.C." Mullen, both with Patrol 7) even found my tire and rim."

Evans concluded, "I'm sure you get a lot of complaints, but this is just the opposite."
