Good Deed Witnessed, Reported to CDOT

Austin Hoyer recently e-mailed CDOT's Facebook page to say:

"I know what I am about to present may be a long shot to figure out, but I had to say something because I think recognition is due.  I witnessed, from what I could tell, a snowplow driver helping a stalled vehicle on the side of the road.  I like to comment on the good things in life and not just the negative events.  The plow driver was assisting the part with a possible flat tire on their car.  They were given protection by the plus, just as the State Patrol or a sheriff's deputy would have been doing.  This was between 7:30 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. Dec. 15 on southbound Parker Road/SH 83 just after the merge/traffic light from northbound I-225.  In case your employee can be identified, I wanted him to know that his deeds are not unseen.  Thanks for all the hard work to all crews!"

Thanks to meticulous record-keeping on the part of CDOT's maintenance professionals, we were indeed able to identify the CDOT employee.  The kudos go to Sean Lichota, TM-II for Patrol 18 at Cherry Creek, Denver Maintenance Section 1, Region 5.

Sometimes, it's nice to know that the good things we do don't always go unnoticed.
