No Complaint, Only Compliments

David Lustig, who lives in Ft. Collins, e-mailed CDOT with two specific compliments.  He also noted that "I must be one of the few people who give compliments because there are lots of places on the CDOT website to complain about potholes or ongoing projects, but no place to say "hey, CDOT, great job!'"

Lustig's first compliment deals with SH 14 in the vicinity of U.S. 40 and Rabbit Ears Pass southeast of Steamboat Springs.  He wrote, "Late in January we were heading back from Steamboat to Fort Collins after skiing and drove into one of those great ground blizzards that are common up there.  Fortunately, CDOT has erected black and white posts with flags all along the worst areas.  Without those flags, finding the edge of the road would have been impossible.  Thank you."

His second compliment deals with his daily commute from Ft. Collins to Denver, which he has done for 10 years.  "A few weeks ago I saw the message boards indicating a lane change coming to northbound I-25 at SH 66.  I'd spend a few minutes pondering what the change would be and then go back to thinking about getting home.  Then I saw the change.  Wow, what a great idea!  Just change the transition to the other side.  It has certainly smoothed out the transition and improved the traffic flow.  Great idea!"
