Tunnels Assistance Appreciated

Pauline Keene of Denver was approaching the Eisenhower/Johnson Memorial Tunnels on I-70 west of Denver on Jan. 3 when "my Jeep suddenly shut off. The tunnel road crew men were very quick to pull my jeep out of lane 2 and were amazingly helpful; I was back running and on my way back to Denver within 30 minutes. Thank you so much for this great service."

Keene was assisted by Vince Brekel (pictured at right), TM-I for Eisenhower-Johnson Tunnels Maintenance Section 9, Region 1.  John Wilson, LTC Ops I for Tunnels Operations, noted, "Vince has worked at EJMT for seven years.  Conditions outside the tunnels when he helped this motorist were extreme."
