Public and Elected Official Involvement

The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has developed the Guide to a Transportation Planning and Programming Public Involvement Process, which describes processes and techniques CDOT employs to comprehensively solicit information from stakeholders and the public.

Additionally, CDOT has developed the Non-Metropolitan Local Officials Consultation Guide, outlining the goals for conducting a comprehensive consultation process for non-metropolitan local officials.

Both of these public-involvement documents help to further demonstrate CDOT's ongoing commitment to ensuring anyone can participate in Colorado statewide and regional transportation planning and programming.
