Request for Qualifications - Burnham Yard

The Colorado HPTE, a division of the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), requests statements of qualifications (SOQs) from qualified real estate developers to enter into an arrangement with HPTE and CDOT on CDOT’s current proposal to the Union Pacific Railroad Company (UP) to acquire the Burnham Yard property in Denver, Colorado.  This is the first step in a two-step process to engage a qualified real estate developer to team with HPTE and CDOT on this project.  Interested firms are requested to provide a short and concise SOQ providing the information described in the RFQ.  HPTE will shortlist no more than three (3) and no less than two (2) firms to move on to the Request for Proposal process. Statements of Qualifications are due on September 26 at 4:00 pm MT, and a shortlist will be announced on September 30th. The RFQ can be found here [link to RFQ].

Eastbound US36 Emergency Rebuild Near Wadsworth Boulevard

On Friday, July 12, crews closed eastbound US 36 near Wadsworth Boulevard after large cracks formed on the highway due to settlement issues.

Crews have opened the eastbound lanes by shifting two eastbound lanes onto the westbound side with a concrete barrier separating each direction of traffic. This is a stable interim traffic pattern that will be sustainable until eastbound US 36 can be rebuilt following a major collapse of a section of the retaining wall and roadway due to settlement issues.
