This literature review was prepared in conjunction with the State Highway 9 Wildlife Mitigation Monitoring Study. The research team compiled and summarized recent literature on the current state of the science and practice of WVC mitigation and monitoring with a focus on ungulates in the western United States, emphasizing research conducted in Colorado and other Rocky Mountain states with direct applicability to Colorado’s landscapes and wildlife populations.
This video was prepared in conjunction with the State Highway 9 Wildlife Mitigation Monitoring Study and funded by Muley Fanatics. For five years, researchers documented mule deer, elk, black bear, moose, pronghorn, bobcats and many other wildlife species using wildlife underpasses and overpasses on SH 9 in Grand County, Colorado.
