Completed in September 2016, this project added chip seal treatment on US 550 from the La Plata/San Juan County Line, from mile post 49.84 to mile post 55.95.

While repairing this 11-year-old surface, crews:

• removed bumps and wheel ruts for smoother rides.
• installed new runaway vehicle/truck ramp signage.
• installed new guardrails.
• installed new solar-powered/-lighted "Caution: Sharp Curve" signs.
