US 24 Curve Correction in Teller County

Travel Alert

Starting on Aug. 3, U.S. Highway 24 from west of Divide to Florissant will be fully closed during daytime hours for four weekdays to allow crews to pave the highway. The full closures will be in place from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 3, Monday, Aug. 7, Tuesday, Aug. 8 and Wednesday, Aug. 9, with detours in place.

The Colorado Department of Transportation will close both directions of US 24 at the approaches to the site of the curve correction work during daytime hours for several weekdays in early August. The closures are necessary to allow crews to pave the newly realigned section of highway and make other safety improvements. Uniformed traffic control personnel, flaggers, signs and devices will be present alerting motorists to the full closures and suggested detour routes. Lengthy delays can be expected and alternate routes are strongly advised.
