Weekly Traffic Impacts - Oct. 22 to Oct. 28


Please be advised of the following travel advisory, lane closures, restrictions and planned work for next week for the US 385 Resurfacing North of Holyoke project in Phillips County.

Travel Advisory - Access restriction in place - Oct. 23-27 - intersection of US 385 and US 6
  • On-street parking and sidewalk restrictions will be in place from Monday, Oct. 23 to Friday, Oct. 27 at the US 385/US 6 intersection
  • Work will take place at the Sinclair on Monday, at the Holyoke Community Federal Credit Union on Tuesday, and at the Viaero Wireless on Wednesday, with temporary access and on-street parking restrictions in place during each daytime period
  • No impacts are expected at the southeast corner of the intersection
  • These impact days/businesses are weather dependent
  • Temporary lane and shoulder closures may also exist
  • The closures will be in place from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on an alternating basis, as needed during curb ramp installation work
  • Signs and construction devices will be present to maintain safety and manage vehicular and pedestrian traffic
  • Business and emergency access will be maintained
  • The closures and work are weather dependent and the schedule is subject to change
  • The work, closures and restrictions are part of CDOT's US 385 North of Holyoke Resurfacing project that began in April
Work includes removing and replacing curb ramps.
Crews will replace curb ramps at the US 385/US 6 intersection this week with access and on-street parking restrictions in place (area highlighted in blue).


General Traffic Impacts - Oct. 22 to Oct. 28

Monday, Oct. 23 to Friday, Oct. 27 - US 385 - MP 280 to MP 289 - alternating single lane closures - north of Holyoke
  • Single lane closures will exist in both directions of US 385 north of Holyoke from MP 280 to MP 289
  • The closures will exist from 6:30 a.m. to approx. 7 p.m.
  • Lane closures with alternating traffic flows north of Holyoke will not exceed a distance of two miles
  • Closures will not overlap
  • Flaggers and/or pilot cars will be present to manage alternating northbound/southbound traffic flows
  • Motorists can expect delays up to 10 minutes during traffic holds
  • Some Saturday work is expected
  • Variable message boards, advanced warning signs and devices will be present to alert motorists to the closures and work underway
  • All construction schedules are weather dependent and subject to change
Work includes milling, paving and placing delineators on mainline US 385.

Monday, Oct. 23 to Friday, Oct. 27 - US 385 - MP 278.43 to MP 279.50 &
US 6 - MP 454 to MP 454.6 - shoulder, sidewalk & periodic lane closures
  • This week, curb ramp work will take place at the US 385/US 6 intersection with sidewalk, on-street parking and other restrictions in place (see advisory above) 
  • Shoulder closures and intermittent single lane closures may exist during curb ramp work
  • Flaggers, signs and construction devices will be present to manage alternating traffic flows
  • The closures will exist from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Friday and occasionally on Saturdays
  • Flaggers will be present to manage pedestrian traffic during concrete pours
  • On-street parking will be temporarily restricted during ramp work activities with construction cones and other devices in place
  • The shoulder closures will be mobile with minimal impacts to traffic
  • Partial sidewalk closures will also exist with signs and construction devices in place to manage pedestrian traffic
  • Signage will exist to alert motorists and pedestrians to the work
  • All construction schedules are weather dependent and subject to change
Work includes ADA curb ramp removals and concrete pours.
