In May, crews on this project will remove vegetation on Colorado Highway 340 between Kansas Avenue and Grande Vista Drive, west of Grand Junction, to make way for a bicycle and pedestrian path.

This work will further improve bicyclist and pedestrian access, and interconnectivity in the area.

Once crews complete prepatory clearing work, they will build a five-foot-wide concrete path, landscape, add fencing, restore the site and seed, and complete curb-and-gutter and culvert work.

Normal working hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work is expected to be complete in October 2018.
