CO 67 Overlay

Crews are resurfacing, paving and completing other work on Colorado Highway (CO) 67 at two locations. Crews will also install guardrail, add signage and striping to the highway, and complete bridge work.

Site A

  • Location: An 18-mile stretch between Cripple Creek and Divide (mile points 52.3-69.6)

  • Work Hours: Daylight hours, Monday through Thursday

  • Work Details: A recycling process known as cold in-place, during which crews apply milled asphalt to the roadway and overlay it with 1.5-inches of asphalt

  • Travel Impacts:
    • Expect minimal delays (less than 15 minutes) and a pilot car system assisting traffic flow.
    • There will be no construction work Friday through Sunday.

  • Alternate Routes:
    • Gold Belt Scenic Byways Route—An hour from Colorado Springs, this byway features such famous roads as Phantom Canyon Road, Shelf Road, High Park Road and Teller County Road 1. Learn more.

Site B

  • Location: A 13-mile stretch between Woodland Park and Westcreek (mile points 77.5-91.7)

  • Work Hours: Daylight hours, Monday through Friday

  • Work Details: Paving, continuing northbound

  • Travel Impacts:
    • Expect one-lane road closures around the construction area.
    • A pilot car system will assist with traffic flow.
