West 8th Avenue Closed from Federal to Decatur Nov. 27 - Dec. 7
From Tuesday, Nov. 27 through Friday, Dec. 7, crews will close West 8th Avenue from Federal Boulevard to Decatur Street as they pave the road. Area businesses, however, will maintain access.
Detours:
- Southbound Federal Boulevard to eastbound 8th Avenue: Take Howard Place to Decatur Street
- Westbound 8th Avenue to Federal Boulevard and westbound 8th Avenue: Decatur Street to Holden Place to Federal Boulevard
- Northbound Federal Boulevard to eastbound 8th Avenue, and eastbound 8th Avenue: Federal Boulevard to 10th Avenue to Decatur Street

Starting in July 2018, crews on this project began reconstructing Federal Boulevard (aka, Colorado Highway 88) from West Howard Place to West 7th Avenue in Denver.
Work—expected to be complete in early 2020—includes upgrading utilities along Federal Boulevard.
Travel Impacts
- 9th Avenue is closed east of Federal Boulevard.
- No left turns are allowed onto Federal Boulevard from West 7th Avenue to West Holden Place.
