Debris Pickup Planned for Drake-Area Residents
Residents living in the Big Thompson Canyon between Estes Park and Drake who have flood debris to discard should place it alongside the US 34 right-of-way by 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, and representatives with Kiewit Construction will start picking it up on Monday. Crews will not pick up garbage and they will not pick anything up from county roads or private property so the materials need to be brought to the state highway right-of-way.

US 34 Open Between Estes Park and Loveland

Temporary road repairs are complete and the highway reopened to regular traffic in both direction on Thursday, November 11 at noon.

Motorists are reminded that the highway is in temporary condition, and although the highway is paved, the lanes are narrow and some areas do not have shoulders. The speed limit has been reduced in some areas for the safety of the traveling public.
