Sandra Fettingis

“Untitled” is the product of well-known, Denver-based artist Sandra Fettingis. She started her first street-art mural in 2007 and has been living and creating art in the Denver metro area since late 2006. Her piece for ‘duct-work was inspired by the fast and ever-changing traffic of the viaduct itself. Fettingis began her process by creating a series of two, simple rotating shapes, in four colors that repeat throughout her panel. She wanted the piece to mimic the environment in which it lives, becoming a piece of art for this space and something that could be enjoyed by those moving by at a fast pace. Fettingis has made a strong presence in the art community and her work can be seen in a number of places – everything from exterior murals on buildings to public art and light installations.
