This is the Ducks and Pigeon mural on SW 1/2 (Dread and Tuke/ Robin Munro) this is Munro’s survey

Q1: What was the name of your piece for 'duct-work?

Duck work

Q2: How long have you been creating urban art? How many years have you been an artist in the Denver-metro region?

I started doing graffiti in Denver in 1992, and then drifted away from it in the late 90s, I've been painting on canvas and other surfaces again since about 2005 till the present, and just recently started painting on walls around Denver this year. It feels great to be back!

Q3: In 3-5 sentences, please describe your piece for 'duct-work.

I collaborated with Robin Munro and our piece was in comic book frame work of a group of ducks at first being hesitant of an approaching pigeon, and then outright shunning him.

Q4: What was the inspiration behind your piece for 'duct-work?

The inspiration for our piece came from the environment itself. We witnessed the transformation of the area in several ways from the pressure washing of years of grime and pigeon feces, to the removal of the offending birds that had made the viaduct their home, uninterrupted for who knows how long. This brought to mind the idea of gentrification and the white ducks represent big business taking over the area and pushing the former inhabitants out. It's just a bit of social commentary on something that's been happening around our city time and again, and considering the i70 project as well as the light rail on 40th, this area will certainly be next.

Q5: What is your preferred medium or method for urban art?

Spray paint 100%!!

Q6: What other urban art pieces have you created in the city?

I've had the good fortune of working on several projects around the Denver area over the last 9 months. Which I won't bore you with all of them. Most notably I worked on a large scale production with Dread and Zehb in the alley of California st on the 16th st mall. Another large production with DF crew tucked away off of 39th and York. As well as an alley way on 35th and larimer with Zehb, Julia Rose, Mpek, Phero, Aleo, Casey Kawaguchi, and Brian Scott Hampton.
