Upcoming Work

  • 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 19 through Friday, Feb. 23:

Paving will continue along the outside lanes between 136th Avenue and E-470, and crews will also be working on the shoulder behind the barrier. 

  • Overnight lane and ramp closures of northbound and southbound I-25 at 120th and 144th Avenues in order to remove and replace temporary barrier wall will take place on the following nights:
  • Monday, Feb. 19, 2018 – 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.  1,500 foot single right lane closure on southbound I-25 at the 144th Avenue on-ramp and full closure of the 144th Avenue on-ramp to southbound I-25. To detour around this closure, motorists should travel west on 144th Avenue, south on Orchard Parkway, then travel east on 136th Avenue to enter southbound I-25. View detour map.  

  • Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2018 – 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.  1,500 foot single right lane closure on southbound I-25 at the 120th Avenue off-ramp and full closure of the southbound I-25 to 120thAvenue off-ramp. To detour around this closure, motorists should exit southbound I-25 at 136th Avenue, travel west on 136th Avenue to Huron Street, then travel south on Huron Street to reach 120th Avenue. 

  • Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018 – 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.  1,500 foot single right lane closure on northbound I-25 at the 120th Avenue on-ramp and full closure of the 120th Avenue on-ramp to northbound I-25. To detour around this closure, motorists should travel east on 120th Avenue to Washington Street, then north on Washington Street and west on 136th Avenue to reach northbound I-25. 

  • Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 – 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.  1,500 foot single right lane closure on northbound I-25 at the 144th Avenue off-ramp and full closure of the northbound I-25 to 144th Avenue off-ramp. To detour around this closure, motorists should exit northbound I-25 at 136th Avenue, travel west to Washington Street, then travel north on Washington Street to reach 144th Avenue.

General Traffic Impacts

This $97.5 million project—from 120th Avenue to Northwest Parkway/E-470—is scheduled to be completed in winter 2018.
