US 36 Bridge Replacement East of Last Chance

The Bridges

Crews on this project have removed and replaced two bridges on US Highway 36 in Washington County between mile points 139 and 142. On Monday, May 7, crews opened traffic onto the two new bridges. Work is expected to be complete in early summer 2018.

Traffic Impacts

From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday for several weeks, expect lane closures and alternating traffic on US 36 as crews move traffic into its final alignment and remove temporary detours.

  • When flaggers are present, the speed limit will be reduced to 40 mph.
  • A width restriction of 14 feet is in place through May 2018.
