US 24 Woodland Park Paving and ADA Curb Ramp Improvements

Project Complete!

The Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor Kiewit have completed installing ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) curb ramps in Woodland Park. Other improvements include installation of guardrail along US 24, construction of embankment protectors, replacement of two traffic counters and signing/striping along the Highway 24 corridor.

Forty-four ADA curb ramps will be installed in Woodland Park at the following locations:

US 24 and Lafayette Avenue
US 24 and Browning St
US 24 and Elm Street
US 24 and Maple Street
US 24 and Midland Avenue
US 24 and Pine Street
US 24 and Center Street
US 24 and Park Street
US 24 and Fairview Street
US 24 and Grace Street
US 24 and Pike Peak Avenue
US 24 and Chester Avenue
US 24 and Sonic/McDonalds Alley
US 24 and Paradise Circle North
US 24 and Trull Road
US 24 and Morning Sun Drive


Benefits of Project:

  • Curb ramps will make pedestrian crossing safer and accessible for everyone
  • Guardrail will prevent cars from leaving the roadway
  • Resurfacing will improve the long-term condition of the roadway and improved quality for motorists driving experience.
