US 34 North Fork River Bridges Replacement
Project Complete!
On Wednesday, April 1st, 2020, Colorado Department of Transportation will begin work to replace two existing timber bridges over the North Fork River on US Highway 34 in Wray. The project will include lane shifts during the construction of the new bridges. This project was contracted to Zak Dirt Incorporated for $5,310,000.
This project will improve safety by replacing old timber structures with concrete structures, upgrade ADA curb ramps along US 385 between W. 3rd Street and W. 7th Street in Wray and improve drainage

Proposed Work Schedule
- Work on this bridge replacement is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, April 1st. Work is expected to be completed by February 2021.
- Normal work hours will be from 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Traffic Impacts
All motorized vehicles should expect travel impacts throughout the construction of this project.
- Flagging operations will be in effect. Motorists should be aware of lane closures and lane shifts.
- Speed reduction to 25 MPH will be in effect. Motorists are urged to obey speed reductions and watch for construction personnel and equipment in the work zone.
- There will be a temporary closure of the Wray Walking Path that goes under US 34.
- Width restrictions of 14 feet in effect beginning May 1.
- Length restrictions of 73.5 feet in effect beginning May 1.

- US 385 Mile Post 243.07 to Mile Post 243.35
