Revised Weekly Traffic Impacts - March 3 to March 9
Please be advised of the following revised traffic impacts, restrictions, and planned work for this week for the US 50 & CO 115 Roundabout in Penrose project in Fremont County. All changes are noted below in red.

Weekday Impacts
Monday, March 4 to Friday, March 8 - Eastbound US 50 - no lane closures
- No closures are planned for the immediate future
- Crews will be working off the roadway to set barricades and mobilize equipment
- Working hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday
- The project limits on US 50 extend from Mile Point 289.50 to MP 289.84
- Traffic shifts, narrowed lanes and reduced speeds may exist
- Signs and construction devices will be present to alert the public to the work zone, closures and restrictions
- All construction schedules are weather dependent and subject to change
Work includes setting barricades on the east edges of the work zone and mobilizing equipment.

New - Monday, March 4 to Friday, March 8 - both directions of CO 115 - no lane closures
- Single lane closures will exist on northbound CO 115 on Tuesday, March 5 and Wednesday, March 6 during working hours
- The closures will be managed by flaggers
- Motorists may also encounter brief traffic holds managed by flaggers Monday to Friday
- The holds are necessary to safely move equipment across lanes
- Working hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday
- The project limits on CO 115 extend from MP 12.76 to MP 14.01
- Signs and message boards will be in place to alert the public to closures and restrictions within the work zone
- All construction schedules are weather dependent and subject to change
Work includes setting barricades on the east edges of the work zone and mobilizing equipment.

General Impacts, Schedule & Scope of Work
- The project begins in early March and has an anticipated completion date of October
- Starting the week of March 3, single lane closures will be taken on CO 115 within the work zone during working hours
- Working hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday to Friday
- Working hours will be extended during the summer months
- Some weekend and overnight work may be expected later in the project
- An onsite temporary detour will be in place this spring from the eastbound US 50 off ramp to CO 115
- This state funded project is designed to improve safety and traffic flow by adding a roundabout
- The roundabout will be on the south side of CO 115 and intersect with the on and off ramps of eastbound US 50
- No changes will be made to the westbound US 50 on and off ramps
- Other work includes adding a concrete island and truck apron, and installing curb and gutter, lighting, and traffic signs
- Roundabouts are proven to be a safer and more efficient method of traffic operations at certain intersections
- The project limits on US 50 extend from MP 289.50 to MP 289.84
- The project limits on CO 115 extend from MP 12.76 to MP 14.01
- Construction schedules are weather dependent and subject to change
