Safety Advocate Resources

Do you need resources to educate on the subject of teen driving safety?  Want to take your involvement a step further and start your own coalition? The Colorado Young Drivers Alliance (CYDA) has provided the following tools to help:

  • Coalition Assessment Tool
An assessment tool designed to provide the framework for gathering feedback from members of your coalition.
  • Grant opportunities
  • Grant funding for teen driving safety advocacy is available through CDOT, CDPHE, insurance companies, foundations and other local organizations.
    • The CDOT Office of Transportation Safety (OTS) offers large grants and mini-grants to agencies, organizations, and coalitions in Colorado that provide programs, projects, services, and strategies that are intended to reduce the number of deaths and serious injuries resulting from traffic crashes on Colorado roads.
    • CDPHE provides grant funding through the Emergency Medical and Trauma Service program.
