Representatives from CDOT and other state agencies attended the National Governors Association Impaired Driving Summit—May 2 and 3 in Columbus, Ohio. The event gave governors' senior staff and other state officials technical assistance from NGA Center staff, state experts, and national experts regarding evidence-based safety policies and practices to prevent and respond to impaired driving.

By sharing lessons learned, participating states help further state innovation and evidence-based policies, programs, and practices state officials around the risks of impaired driving, and share best practices in countering both drug and alcohol-impaired driving, and elevate the issue for governors' policy advisors and agency officials.
