Car Seats Colorado to Host Interactive Event at Downtown Aquarium to Encourage Car Seat Use
Traffic Safety Pulse News
Car Seats Colorado, a partnership between the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) and the Colorado State Patrol (CSP), is hosting free car seat checks and an interactive education event on Saturday, Sept. 21, in partnership with the Downtown Aquarium in recognition of National Child Passenger Safety Week. Sept. 21 is National Seat Check Saturday. Car Seats Colorado technicians will conduct free one-on-one vehicle and seat inspections to ensure proper installation and seat fit.
The event will also invite kids and parents to paint handprints on a CSP vehicle and pledge to always install and use car seats and booster seats correctly. Car seat technicians will host an “Ask the Experts” booth, where they will give hands-on demonstrations of proper car seat fit and installation and answer questions from parents and children. All opportunities are free to the public.
