Summit Overview
We were pleased to have U.S. DOT Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx, Gov. Hickenlooper and Mayor Hancock address the gathering to underscore the need for Colorado to become a leader in emerging transportation technology at the 2015 Transportation Summit.
The summit focused on how we plan to leap beyond the 20th century thinking that has defined our transportation system to create a nimble system capable of leading 21st century innovations and change. At the summit, we showcased leading edge technology and profiled implementation strategies from around the world.
CDOT also announced the launch of an exciting new multi-phased program. focused on how Colorado becomes a leader in innovative transportation technologies with the focus of addressing our state's transportation challenges and becoming one of the safest and most mobile states in the country.
The summit was a half-day event with a lunch and keynote address and panel discussion followed by two repeating rounds of breakout sessions. The breakout session topics included:

- Your Time – Redefining Your Commute and Congestion With Technology
- Your Life – Zero Deaths on Our Roadways is Achievable
- Your Money – Where Technology, Roadway Funding and Your Pocketbook Meet: Implementation of Road Usage Charge
