Sign Up for Alerts

To continue receiving text messages about travel impacts that matter to you, please follow these steps:

  1. Visit 511.cotrip.org, and click "Sign In" in the upper-right corner of the screen. Sign in link.png
  2. On the "Sign In" screen that appears, select the "Get Started" button.

  3. Enter your new account information in the New Account pop-up.
    • Note: You must sign up using an email address and will later be able to add your cellphone number to your account.

  4. Check your email for a message containing an account-activation link, and click "Accept."
    You must activate your account within 24 hours or it will be deleted. Activation email.png
  5. Confirm your account activation.

  1. Sign in to your account.

  2. Select the gear icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen and click "My Account Settings" from the dropdown menu.

  3. From the screen that appears, enter your preferred communication settings.

    NOTE:
    • This is where you'll be able to enter your cellphone number. Follow the instructions to verify it.

  4. After saving your preferences, begin selecting the routes for which you'd like notifications by selecting the star icon within the left-hand menu on the screen.

  5. Create your routes by any of the following means:
    1. Select a predefined region of the state:

    2. Draw a line around your area of interest by double-clicking the map with the left button on your mouse, then moving it to create lines and clicking it again to define end points :

    3. Choose start and end points:

    4. Select a popular destination:

  6. Remember to save your chosen routes using the button below, or via the "Save this area" link.

  7. Schedule when and where you'd like to receive each alert. You must do this for each separate alert you create.
    NOTE: You may want to extend the window of time during which you receive alerts to ensure you receive ample notice of traffic impacts on your routes.
