US 24 Curve Correction in Teller County
Weekly Traffic Impacts & Work Update
Traffic Impacts - Sept. 3 to Sept. 9
Please be advised of the following lane closures and planned work for next week for the
US 24 Curve Correction
project east of Florissant.
No impacts will exist from noon on Friday, Sept. 1 through 7 a.m. on Sept. 5 in observance of the Labor Day weekend.

Tuesday, Sept. 5 to Friday, Sept. 8 - US 24 - Weekday Lane Closures
Intermittent single lane closures will be in place on US 24 during daytime hours within the work zone
The closures will be taken between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, and from 7 a.m. to noon on Friday
During lane closures, alternating eastbound/westbound directions of traffic will be shifted into the open lane, managed by flaggers
Motorists can expect delays up to 15 minutes during traffic holds
Signs and construction devices will be present to alert motorists to the closures and presence of work crews
Speeds are reduced to 40 mph in the work zone
No width restriction exists
Construction schedules are weather and supply dependent and subject to change
Work includes final striping and installing embankment protectors.

The project limits extend from Mile Point 272.6 to MP 272.9
During single lane closures of US 24, alternating directions of traffic will be managed by uniformed traffic control personnel and/or flaggers
Motorists can expect delays up to 15 minutes during traffic holds
The project began on May 1 and is expected to last for approx. 75 calendar days, not including delays due to weather events
All construction schedules are weather and work dependent and subject to change
Nearby Project Impacts
Bridge Repair Project - US 24 east of Florissant
Crews are repairing two structures between MP 271 and MP 272
Shoulder closures and lane closures will be taken over the course of construction
Work is expected to last until September
