Please be advised of the following upcoming travel advisory, lane and ramp closures, restrictions and planned work for next week for the I-25 Walsenburg Bridge Replacement project in Huerfano County.
**Upcoming Travel Advisory - Removal of the southbound I-25 bridge structure is expected to take place in late October to early November. Notifications will be sent once dates are confirmed. During this safety critical work, Colorado Highway 10 under I-25 will be closed for up to a week, with detour routes in place.**

General Traffic Impacts
Sunday, Oct. 22 to Saturday, Oct. 28 - 24/7 single lane alignment - both directions of I-25
Both directions of traffic on I-25 are reduced to a single lane within the project limits
The lanes have been shifted to the northbound side of I-25 via median crossover detour pavement
The project limits extend from MP 51 to MP 49 on I-25 at the approaches to and at Exit 50 in Huerfano County
This single lane alignment will remain in place until further notice
A width restriction of 12 feet is in place
Speeds are reduced to 55 mph
The northbound I-25 on and off ramps are open
The southbound I-25 on and off ramps are closed (see detail below)

Work includes clearing and grubbing and preparing for the removal of the southbound I-25 bridge structure.

The southbound I-25 on and off ramps at Exit 50 are closed, with detour routes in place
These ramp closures will remain in place 24/7 for about six months while crews remove and replace the southbound I-25 bridge structure
Detour signs will be present alerting motorists to alternate routes
Suggested detour routes during the full closure of the southbound I-25 ramps at Exit 50.
Temporary Playground Closure
Please be advised that the playground located at S. Grant Ave. and Colorado Ave. is closed while crews replace an underground sanitary sewer line.
The playground will remain closed until further notice
The closure is in place to maintain public safety during underground utility work
Fencing and signs are present alerting the public to the closure
