The Colorado Department of Transportation will implement a full closure of eastbound Interstate 70 between Clear Creek Drive/32nd Avenue and Ward Road/Colorado Highway 72 during overnight hours on Tuesday, May 14. During the full closure, all eastbound I-70 traffic including access to and from Colorado Highway 58/Golden (Exit 265) will be routed to the Clear Creek Drive/32nd Ave (Exit 264) off-ramp, with detour signage in place. Uniformed traffic control personnel, flaggers, signs and barricades will be present to manage traffic. Delays can be expected. The closure is necessary to maintain safety while crews remove two overhead signs and supporting structures in advance of the next phase of removing and replacing the eastbound I-70 bridge over Ward Road.
