Full Closure of I-25 in Denver for Presidential Debate Begins in Approximately Four Hours
October 3, 2012 - TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER— The countdown to the 2012 Presidential Debate and the full closure of I-25 in Denver has begun. In approximately four hours, six miles of Interstate 25 will be closed in both directions from the Santa Fe Drive (US 85) interchange to the Hampden Avenue (US 285) interchange from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

December 6, 2016 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 1 - The northbound Interstate 25 off-ramp to Colorado Boulevard (exit 204) will be closed starting at 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9 until 5 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 12 so crews can finish concrete paving at the intersection.

City of Aurora 6th Avenue Parkway Extension Environmental Assessment
The City of Aurora, in consultation with the Federal Highway Administration and the Colorado Department of Transportation, is proposing to construct the 6th Avenue Parkway Extension along a new roadway alignment between Colorado Highway (CO) 30 and the 6th Avenue Parkway/E-470 Tollway interchange. The Proposed Action is in the northeastern portion of Aurora, Colo., and falls partially with Aurora and partially within unincorporated Arapahoe County. The Proposed Action would close an almost two-mile gap in the major arterial street system, and would include a crossing of Sand Creek and its associated floodplain. The project has been identified in previous planning studies dating back as early as 1986, and has been identified as a priority project by the Aurora City Council. Keywords: Studies, Non-Highways

Federal and State Officials Sign Loan to Fund Remainder of the US 36 Corridor Improvement Project
September 1, 2011 - Denver Metro Colorado/CDOT Region 6 - DENVER – Today, September 1st, officials from the Federal Highway Administration, the U.S. Department of Transportation, and the High Performance Transportation Enterprise (HPTE), signed the Transportation Infrastructure Finance and Innovation Act (TIFIA) loan that will allow the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) to move forward with adding express lanes and other improvements to the US 36 corridor between Pecos Street and Interlocken Loop.
