CDOT repairs CO 90 potholes west of Naturita

January 19, 2024 - Southwestern Colorado - Plan for brief delays the week of Jan., 22

Montrose County — Beginning January 22, Colorado Department of Transportation maintenance crews will perform week-long pothole patching operations. Motorists can expect up to 15-minute delays on Colorado Highway 90 between the Colorado - Utah state line and the junction of CO 141, Mile Points 12 to 34.

Crews will work swiftly to complete CO 90 surface treatment operations, however, work is weather permitting.

Traffic Impacts

Operations will take place Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

  • Expect one-lane alternating traffic guided by signs, cones and flagging personnel
  • A speed reduction of 40 mph will be enforced through the work zones
  • Plan for full stops and brief 15-minute delays

  • Do not speed in work zones. Obey the posted speed limits.
  • Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.
  • Watch for workers. Drive with caution.
  • Don't change lanes unnecessarily.
  • Avoid using mobile devices such as phones while driving in work zones.
  • Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.
  • Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.
  • Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
  • Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.
  • Anticipate lane shifts and merge when directed to do so.
  • Be patient!
