CDOT to hold telephone town halls on statewide transportation plan

News Release

June 4, 2025 - Western Colorado - Meetings will allow Coloradans to help prioritize transportation resources

Western Colorado — The Colorado Department of Transportation regional transportation directors from the Northwest and Southwest regions and the District 7 Transportation Commissioner invite members of the communities of Chaffee, Delta, Eagle, Garfield, Gunnison, Lake, Mesa, Montrose, Ouray, Pitkin and Summit counties to participate in a telephone town hall June 9 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Interested citizens may call in to ask questions about projects and to provide information about potential transportation needs in their areas. Input from local communities helps guide Colorado’s transportation investment priorities and build a plan to deliver those priorities as part of CDOT’s 10-Year-Plan.

Dozens of outreach events are held around the state and allow thousands of people to share their views on what CDOT's priorities should be. This is why the end result is called Your Transportation Plan.

As a part of the Your Transportation Plan effort, CDOT hosts telephone town halls across the state in the districts of the members of the Colorado Transportation Commission who are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Colorado Senate.

Barbara Bowman, Transportation Commissioner for District 7, oversees the area that includes the 11 listed counties.
