Closure of Stone Ridge Drive in Woodland Park
Travel Advisory
Teller County — The Colorado Department of Transportation will closed a section of Stone Ridge Drive in Woodland Park for approximately four weeks for work on the Colorado Highway 67 Widening and Resurfacing Project.
Please be advised of the following full closure of Stone Ridge Drive from the CO 67 intersection west to Ptarmigan Drive that will begin on May 5 and remain in place for approximately four weeks. The closure is part of the CO 67 Widening in Woodland Park project in Teller County.
Traffic Impacts
Beginning Monday, May 5, motorists will encounter the closure of Stone Ridge Drive from the CO 67 intersection west to Ptarmigan Drive :
- A full closure of Stone Ridge Drive from the CO 67 intersection west to Ptarmigan Drive will be implemented on Monday, May 5, with detour signs posted.
- The closure will be in place for approximately four weeks.
- No vehicular or sidewalk access will be permitted on Stone Ridge Drive west of the CO 67 intersection to Ptarmigan Drive.
- Please refer to the map below for the closure location and detour routes.
- The closure is necessary while crews lower a water line and perform utility work.
- The recommended detour route is to take Millstone Lane to Research Drive, as shown on the map. Southbound CO 67 traffic can turn around to access the detour route by taking a left turn at West Kelley's Road, heading south on Sundance Street, and turning west on Red Feather Lane to enter northbound CO 67.
- No impacts to CO 67 or West Kelley's Road will exist during this closure.
- Signs and construction devices will be in place to alert the public to the closure and other work zone restrictions.
- Construction schedules are weather dependent and subject to change.

- Do not speed in work zones. Obey the posted speed limits.
- Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.
- Watch for workers. Drive with caution.
- Don't change lanes unnecessarily.
- Avoid using mobile devices such as phones while driving in work zones.
- Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.
- Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.
- Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
- Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.
- Anticipate lane shifts and merge when directed to do so.
- Be patient!
