Northbound CO 157 (Foothills Parkway) closures continue through this week and weekend

Boulder - The Colorado Department of Transportation and its contract partner, ACME Concrete Paving Inc., advises motorists to expect continued overnight lane and full closures on northbound Colorado Highway 157 (Foothills Parkway) at Pearl Street this week and weekend as crews complete ongoing concrete panel removal and replacements.
The full closure is required to maintain the safety of motorists and the project team while decreasing the duration of overall impacts to the traveling public.
Traffic Impacts
\Wednesday and Thursday nights, April 15 to16, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Northbound CO 157 will be reduced to a single through-lane.
- The Pearl Street on-ramp to northbound CO 157 will be closed.
- Motorists will be detoured via Pearl Street west to 30th Street or east to 55th Street, then north to Valmont Street to access the on-ramp.
- No impacts are expected during daytime hours Wednesday through Friday.
Friday, April 17, at 9 p.m. through Sunday morning, April 19, at 4 a.m.
- Full closure of northbound CO 157 at Pearl Street goes in effect.
- Traffic will detour off CO 157 at the Pearl Street exit, continue across Pearl Street and re-enter via the northbound on-ramp.
- Southbound lanes will remain open.
Sunday morning, April 19, through Monday evening, April 20, 4 a.m. to 8 p.m.
- Northbound CO 157 will be reduced to a single through-lane until 7 a.m. Monday.
- The Pearl Street on-ramp to northbound Colorado Highway 157 will remain closed with the same aforementioned detour in place until 8 p.m. Monday.
Motorists traveling northbound on CO 157 and those using Pearl Street should expect up to 15 minute delays. Drivers are encouraged to use alternate routes over the weekend to avoid congestion.
Uniformed traffic control officers will be on-site to assist with traffic flow. Drivers should slow down, watch for workers and equipment and maintain safe following distances.

- Do not speed in work zones. Obey the posted speed limits.
- Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.
- Watch for workers. Drive with caution.
- Don't change lanes unnecessarily.
- Avoid using mobile devices such as phones while driving in work zones.
- Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.
- Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.
- Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
- Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.
- Anticipate lane shifts and merge when directed to do so.
