Travel Advisory

Jan. 19, 2026 - Southeastern Colorado - Motorists encouraged to avoid the area

Park County - US Highway 285 is closed in both directions on Kenosha Pass at Mile Point 202 due to a jack-knifed commercial motor vehicle. Traffic is at a full stop in both directions with no estimated time for reopening. Hazmat and tow are en route to clear the incident. Motorists should expect extreme delays in the area.

Motorists heading towards the Denver metro area are able to detour the closure by taking Colorado Highway 9 to Interstate 70. Please note that there is a Passenger Vehicle Traction Law in effect on CO 9 as well as US 285 between Jefferson and Pine due to winter weather conditions. Please use caution.
