Southeast Colorado Sign Replacement (12 locations)

About the Project:

The Southeast Colorado sign replacement project will take place at 12 locations throughout Southeast Colorado.

• Between Penrose and Fremont/Pueblo County Line on US 50 from MP 289.7 to MP 296.1
• West Pueblo on US 50 from MP 307.2 to MP 314.5
• Pueblo on CO 45 from Mile Point 0.2 to MP 5
• Pueblo on US 50 Business from MP 0.4 to MP 5
• Pueblo on CO 96 from MP 52.4 to MP 57.7
• Between Junction CO 165 to Beulah on CO 78 from MP 0 to MP 13
• McKenzie Junction to Colorado City on CO 165 from MP 0 to MP 36.7
• Between Sheridan Lake and Kansas State Line on CO 96 from MP 192.9 to MP 207.4
• From Junction CO 96 between Sheridan Lake and Cheyenne Wells on US 385 from MP 123.6 to MP 123.7
• Between La Veta Pass and Walsenburg on US 160 from MP 282.1 to MP 294.5 and MP 297.2 to MP 304.4
• From Junction CO 389 to west of Kim on US 160 from MP 382.9 to MP 405.1

Work includes removing approximately 1,025 worn out signs, installing 1,060 new signs and 700 new posts.

Project Benefits

• The new signs will have better reflectivity at night to help motorist navigate the highway safely.
• The new signs will consist of speed limit, directional, street, mile point, guide, regulatory, and warning signs.

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Traffic Impacts:

• There will be shoulder closures, single lane closure and one-lane alternating traffic
