I-25 Bridges South of Fountain

This I-25 bridges project south of Fountain near the Pike’s Peak International Raceway (PPIR) will replace four existing northbound bridge structures with cross culverts.  A fifth bridge will also be replaced with a longer and wider bridge structure in order to accommodate diverted drainage near the raceway.

The bridge structures are located on northbound I-25 between milepost 121.41 and milepost 122.9, are to be demolished and the roadway rebuilt.  Traffic detours will be necessary for the construction.

Lawrence Construction Co. is the contractor for this $3.8 million streamlined design build project.

FASTER – Funding Advancements for Surface Transportation and Economic Recovery – is fully funding this project.  Financed by vehicle registration fees, FASTER established a Statewide Bridge Enterprise, funding the maintenance and repair of Colorado’s most urgent structurally-deficient and functionally-obsolete bridges.
