CO 149 Creede North & Lake City North Resurfacing

Project Overview
The Colorado Department of Transportation and contractor United Companies have a project underway from late March through late October to improve 33 miles of Colorado Highway 149 in three counties. The project involves existing pavement recycling, asphalt overlay, guardrail installation, bridge maintenance and minor concrete work. The work zones are located on CO 149 along two stretches: from Mile Point 21 to 42, through Creede and north to the Mineral/Hinsdale county line; and from MP 70 to 92, through Lake City north into Gunnison County.
Work Schedule and Travel Impacts
- From approximately 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (hours will change with seasons) Monday through Friday (and some weekends), motorists will encounter up to 15-minute traffic stops through up to two separate work zones.

- Commercial truck drivers and other travelers should be aware of potential major closures due to the US 50 Little Blue Creek Canyon project, located west of Gunnison
