I-70 Resurfacing & Guardrail Replacement from Officers Gulch to Frisco
Ongoing Activities
December 2019
- Crews have completed all major work associated with the resurfacing of eastbound and westbound I-70.
- Activities in early December will be conducted off the shoulder, and should not impact traffic.
- However, motorists should reduce the speed limit through the work zone.
Since June 24 crews will be resurfacing and replacing guardrail lon I-70 from Officers Gulch to Frisco in Summit County.
Travelers will need to prepare for shoulder closures and narrow lanes with a lane shift at the west Frisco bridges. As as the project progresses, motorists in both directions of I-70 should be prepared for traffic impacts that include:
- flaggers on-site
- lane closures
- reduced speed limits
- restrictions on oversized vehicles
- temporary delays and slowdowns during paving operations to allow for trucks to move in and out of the work zone
