I-25 and Erie Parkway Ramp Signalization

About the Project

The Colorado Department of Transportation began work to signalize the on/off ramps at I-25 and Erie Parkway interchange.

Impacts on this project consist of single lane closures on the off and on ramps and on Erie Parkway. I-25 will have no lane closures.

This will include installation of signal poles, mast arms, controller cabinets, fiber infrastructure, cameras and other infrastructure needed for the signalization. Sturgeon Electric Company, Inc. is contracted to install the signals on this project.

In 2017 a signal warrant study determined a traffic signalization of the on/off ramps would improve the overall safety and operations of this intersection. This signalization will provide safer access throughout this intersection and improve the flow of traffic during peak periods.
